Yakushima Island - Senpiro Falls

Senpiro Falls (千尋の滝) is a waterfall located at the base of Yakushima Island’s Mochomu Pk (モッチョム岳). at which the water run off plummets 60 meters over a large V-shaped granite wall. The name “Sen-piro”, or “A Thousand Fathoms” (=1,800m), originates from a story suggesting the granite wall is as wide as one thousand people holding hands in a line.
