At a rocky area in the southwest of Yakushima Island （屋久島）, during low tide when the water has retreated, a number of tide pools appear in the holes and cracks in the rocks. Creatures like crabs, sea cucumbers, sea anemones, and little fish appear, creating a “natural aquarium.”
