The Rapeseed Fields of Ibusuki

IIn the days following the New Year, about three million stalks of rapeseed plants go into full bloom, carpeting the foot of Mount Kaimon（開聞岳）in a glorious lemon gold. This picturesque scenery, which also gives visitors the joy of experiencing the early arrival of spring, is distinctive of Ibusuki（指宿）, a mild climate region with an annual average temperature of about 19 degrees Celcius.
