Yakushima Island - Nagata Inakahama Beach

Nagata Inakahama Beach （永田いなか浜） is a beautiful beach made from yellow sand from weathered granite carried down by the Nagatagawa River （永田川） from Yakushima Island’s Nagata Pk （永田岳）. Every year from May through July, sea turtles （海ガメ） that have traveled the Pacific Ocean gather here to lay their eggs.
